Allen grew up in Idaho with loving parents and four siblings. As a middle child, he is independent and loves figuring things out. Analytical is a word many who know him would use to describe his character. He would probably prefer this profile be in the form of an excel spreadsheet, but was told that would be frowned on.

Cooking, and especially baking, are favorite past times for Allen. He learned from helping his mother while growing up and continued trying new recipes and refining cooking skills long after moving out of the house. Either in the kitchen or while camping, a great meal is always found for those who need it in this household. He hopes to pass on those skills to his children.

Allen is always reading or listening to a book when there is spare time. Adventure, mystery, fantasy, Sci-fi, etc are all in his collection. He looks forward to reading to his children when they are at a young age and spark their imagination.

Similar to Justin, adventure is never far away. This world has so many wonders that it is impossible to see them all. Allen has a passion for exploring new places above and below the water.

Having had the privilege to travel and spending time visiting other cultures, he has a respect for those who have different beliefs and promotes acceptance of everyone as unique individuals. Allen served a two year church mission in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil and speaks Portuguese along with English. He would love to encourage learning multiple languages in the home.

While Justin is the maintenance guy, Allen is the fix it man. Ever since he was old enough, he was helping rebuild engines and remodel houses. He’s not scared to get his hands dirty and work on something he’s never done before. These projects are both enjoyable for him and save a lot of money.
