Having grown up in Utah and Idaho, we have a passion for the outdoors. Some of our fondest memories are while camping in our youth and we plan on continuing this tradition.

As mentioned earlier, we have been married for seven+ years and together for twelve. A mutual friend introduced us when he found out we had similar interests and thought we would be a good fit. He couldn’t have been more right!
At the time Allen was working at a guided horse riding ranch near Yellowstone National Park and Justin was working in Price Utah. Luckily and opening came up when one of the tour guides left. Justin made the leap of faith and came up to work for the year.

Soon after, we moved to Utah and both started working in healthcare and grew even closer together. A few years later, we bought our first house and fixed it up as we had spare time and raised our first dog, Loki.

Marriage was legalized for the second time in Utah for us in 2014 and we decided to get married that October. While we both come from large families, a big wedding didn’t fit with who we are. We had a very small, informal wedding in the mountains with only our closest friends at the time as witnesses.

We then moved to North Carolina, and started an adventure exploring the east coast. The history we learned about was interesting and people we met were amazing! Our time there was cut short, and we ended up moving back to Utah to be closer to family and bought our next house in a nice neighborhood with fantastic neighbors and friends.

Since moving back to Utah four years ago, we adopted a German Shepherd, Odin, and began exploring the state we live in with earnest. going on hikes, and mini road trips as we have spare time. There is so much in the world to explore, we are excited to see it as a family!

Two years ago, we started putting together the paperwork and documentation for the adoption process. We listed our profile and soon after were reached out by the most wonderful and loving mother. She had given birth to a young boy the day before and wanted to meet us. We went to the hospital later that night and talked to her and her parents for an hour and a half and were asked to come back the next day to bring this beautiful young boy home.

We were truly expecting some serious changes to our lifestyle by bringing in a child into our lives and were surprised how little it did. Camping, music, reading, and adventures all continued as they previously did but we get to share them with Kyzer who is experiencing them for the first time. Precious moments!

We look forward to whatever our next adventures are to come!
